How We Review

This page explains how AutoRelab picks and writes about products, so you can judge our recommendations for yourself.

How we choose products

  • We start from what people actually buy and search for: Amazon best-seller and new-release lists, common repair jobs and reader questions.
  • We check the product’s own specifications, what is in the box, compatibility notes, warranty or return information and the brand’s support pages.
  • We look for open safety recalls (NHTSA and the Consumer Product Safety Commission) and skip anything with one.
  • We read independent reviews from reputable automotive sources to find the most common complaints.

What we do not claim

  • We do not buy or hands-on test products unless a post says so clearly.
  • Any numbers such as power, capacity or ratings are the manufacturer’s stated figures. We say so (“rated for”, “listed as”).
  • We do not show Amazon prices, star ratings or customer reviews. Click through to Amazon for the latest price and to read buyer feedback.

How we rank

Rankings are based on specifications, compatibility range, ease of use, listed warranty and value for the job. Affiliate commissions never decide a ranking. Every product has drawbacks, and we list them.

Fitment and safety

We cannot know your vehicle. Always use Amazon’s “Confirm fit” tool and your owner’s manual before buying a part. Posts about brakes, lifting, tires, batteries or electrical work include a safety box. See our Disclaimer.
